FOUNDER AND PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Michelle "Dr. Shell" Payne is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in pediatrics, holding her Doctorate, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Texas Woman's University.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Shell has worked with infants, children, and adolescents with complex medical and developmental needs. Her research includes case studies on Idiopathic Toe Walking, Sensory Integration, scoliosis, infant massage, and childhood obesity.
Founded in 2012, Play with a Purpose Pediatric Therapy delivers expert, evidence-based care in an environment where children feel motivated, supported, and capable. Services include Advanced Sensory & Motor Integration and Interactive Metronome — an evidence-based Neuromotor program targeting rhythm, sequencing, attention, and motor control.
Dr. Shell is active in the DFW community, conducting lectures at colleges and schools, and as a mother of two boys, she understands firsthand the importance of early intervention.
